These are a few of my older paintings of cabins and cottages. Some my first paintings and not very good quality photos .

There are so many different types of cabins and settings for a view from the cabin but in my mind and heart the view from a cabin is by the creek, or the lake, in the woods, a cozy fire, and are the greatest simple pleasures in life!!  So much peace, freedom, and the smell of the outdoors, the running creek splashing against the rocks so loud that you can just feel the cold creek water on your bare feet in the summertime. Not to mention the enjoyment of fishing even if you don’t catch anything. The bottom painting in black, gray and white was my first canvas painting ever and was done in 1987 , willing 3rd prize on a local art contest. It was a great starting place for my inspired canvas works.
