Born and raised  a native of Louisville, Ky, D.Middleton is a self taught Artist specializing in Acrylics on canvas mostly from photographs and has a wide variety of interests for creative arts. From the eye to the hand holding  the brush  resulting in a like representation and expressing it on the canvas.  D.Middleton has dabbled with creative projects of some sort  all her life but expressing herself on canvas has proven to be her passion. She started with just odd pieces of wood siding from old barns in the area near her home using any quality paints she had for creating small home made family gifts and wall displays. Later she moved onto working on her first canvas and with confidence and the best group of fans ( her two young daughters) she entered the canvas painting (the black, gray and white cabin/shed painting in the view from the cabin page) in a small local contest placing 3rd  among the chosen winners. From there she just painted on canvas subjects of interest when she could and mostly for family gifts until some years later when she started receiving requests for specific photographs to be portrayed on canvas. D.Middleton paintings have now become popular requests at local car shows with antique car collectors, pet owners wanting portraits of their favorite pet and family member, etc .One fan said his wife wouldn’t let him bring his hot rod car in the house (all car lovers want to have their car right in front of them or beside them of course )and he laughed saying now I can with this painting. I am so excited……  While human portraits have been a project for her at times, it was not a real focus, yet they are now being greatly requested by fans of D.Middleton paintings, so she is progressing in the area  to grow and excel in her passion for Acrylics On Canvas to include portraits. While the Artist continues to work full time and  expresses herself on canvas as a hobby in her spare time , she hopes to someday dedicate her full attention to her paintings as D.Middleton states that her heart goes into every painting as she is Painting Dreams On Canvas and there is a story behind every painting. A story worth telling in color with a brush for the artist. Local Charity events with guests from across the U.S. have had the great value of D.Middleton paintings to support animals, schools, children, anything of supportive nature. D.Middleton states (It just feels right…..and is a good feeling to be able to contribute in such meaningful events)
